Implant Dentistry

The loss of teeth has presented the dental profession with challenges for decades. For years, dentures and fixed bridgework have been the answer. Today, there is an option: Dental Implants. Much like hip and knee replacements, dental implants serve to restore normal oral function. Whether it be a single tooth replacement, anchoring ill fitting dentures, or a full mouth reconstruction, dental implants can provide the solution without involving healthy adjacent teeth.

Dental implants are essentially artificial tooth roots. The metal implant is surgically placed in the jawbone. At this point, bone tissue starts to bond with the implant ultimately creating a rigid man-made root. Once this healing phase is complete, the implant(s) can then be used as an anchor(s) for whatever the final treatment requires. Implants can be used to replace a single tooth, multiple teeth, or all your teeth. Patients who have struggled with complete dentures can have them anchored with dental implants so that there is no movement whatsoever. No more sore spots, adjustments, and relines. No more denture adhesives. No more embarrassing slippage. It's like getting your natural teeth back!

Dental implants are designed to last a lifetime but they are not bullet-proof. They require the same oral hygiene that real teeth need. Brushing, flossing and regular checkups with our office are essential to a long term, successful result.

We provide all the steps of dental implant treatment in our office. From the initial surgical placement of the implant(s) through the final restoration phase, everything is completed in house. There are no referrals to other offices. This provides continuity of treatment and time savings, a convenience that our patients appreciate.

Implant dentistry can provide life altering changes. The simple task of biting into an apple or eating corn-on-the-cob can become a reality. Cosmetic issues can be solved. The insecurity and discomfort of loose fitting or painful dentures—history!

Let our experience since 1984 in implant dentistry make a change in your life!
